Web3 zero-knowledge (ZK) identity layer, zkMe has announced its integration with Plume Network, a real-world asset finance (RWAfi) blockchain platform, in a partnership aimed at enhancing privacy, security, and compliance for decentralized applications (DApps).

As part of this collaboration, zkMe will bring its zero-knowledge KYC (zkKYC) solution to Plume Network, marking its first integration of a zkKYC system for secure user verification within the RWAfi ecosystem.

“We are excited to enhance Plume Network by integrating our advanced privacy-focused identity solutions. This integration showcases our leadership in compliance within the RWA sector,” said Alex Scheer, Founder and CEO of zkMe.

“By connecting with a broader community on Plume, we enable users to gain unprecedented control over their privacy. We recognize the significant challenges faced by the RWA sector and are committed to addressing these head-on with our innovative solutions.”

Plume Network is a modular blockchain layer that enables the on-chain deployment of real-world assets, offering features like instant asset deployment, day-one compliance, and asset trading. With over 100 projects building on its platform, Plume seeks to expand the adoption of real-world assets among crypto users.

However, challenges such as regulatory compliance and the prevalence of isolated ecosystems have hindered broader adoption. This integration with zkMe aims to overcome these hurdles by providing a scalable, decentralized identity verification system.

zkMe’s zkKYC solution offers users the ability to verify their credentials without exposing personal information. Its system is fully decentralized and compliant with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards, allowing KYC/AML adherence while maintaining user privacy. Once verified, users can reuse their credentials across multiple DApps on Plume Network through Soulbound Tokens (SBTs), streamlining the verification process and improving user experience.

Eugene, CTO of Plume Network, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating:

“Teaming up with zkMe is more than just a tech upgrade—it’s redefining how privacy and compliance coexist in the RWAfi space.”

This partnership between zkMe and Plume Network represents a significant step forward in creating a privacy-centric, compliant, and user-friendly ecosystem for real-world asset finance.
