Barcelona-based Web3 gaming company Monster League Studios, the creator of Mokens League, has raised over €3.7 million to enhance its gaming ecosystem. The funding will be directed toward in-game purchases and player rewards, and its $MOKA utility token will be integrated, strengthening the platform’s interconnected gaming experience.

Currently boasting over 50,000 active monthly users, Monster League Studios is focused on creating a multi-title ecosystem where players can seamlessly transfer assets between games. The flagship offering, a soccer game, is already live, and plans are underway to introduce other sports-themed games like padel, tennis, and racing. This expansion aims to broaden the functionality of $MOKA across diverse game titles.

In a significant milestone this year, Monster League Studios was incubated by Google, participating in a program designed for emerging casual games. This collaboration enabled the company to refine its game metrics and boost its competitive positioning in the industry.

“From our growing user base to Google, people are responding to Monster League Studios and its mission to build a new type of interconnected Web3 gaming,” said Martin Repetto, CEO of Monster League Studios.

Founded by gaming veterans Martin Repetto and Maximo Radice, the company takes a “Nintendo-like” approach to its platform, integrating multiple games within the Mokens League universe. The games are based on a “win-to-earn” model that rewards skillful gameplay rather than passive engagement, aligning with its mission to foster an active and engaging player community.

The platform is also set to expand its offerings to include basketball, hockey, and beach volleyball, enabling players to use characters and assets across various game titles. This cross-title asset utility adds lasting value to in-game items, NFTs, and the $MOKA token, further enhancing player engagement and ecosystem longevity.
